Vlisco Presents
VLISCO Radiance

A New Dimension of Elegance
Crafted on a loom so special it’s named after the invention itself, VLISCO Radiance is our first jacquard-woven collection.
-
Radiance is woven with intricate patterns that are part of the structure - giving each design a rich, textural depth that can’t be replicated. The fabric is double-sided, revealing a unique colour tone or motif on each side for two looks in one.
-
With a natural shine and soft drape, VLISCO Radiance brings a new kind of luxury to the Vlisco world - versatile, refined, and made to stand out.
Double sided-colouring
The VLISCO Radiance collection is a tribute to craftsmanship, created for the woman who moves through the world with grace and a love for bold expression.
-
From flowing gowns to tailored suits, this fabric adapts effortlessly, taking you from daytime moments to evening occasions with understated glamour. It
catches the light, moves with ease, and feels as refined as it looks.

At its core, VLISCO Radiance is about modern heritage: a centuries-old weaving technique reimagined through our bold colour palette and unmistakable design language. For those who wear tradition with a twist and elegance without compromise.

Sewing & Tailoring
To ensure the best tailoring results with VLISCO Radiance, we recommend using the following materials and techniques:
-
Thread
- • Preferred: Amann Saba 120 / Tex 24.
• Alternative: Thin sewing thread – 1000 metres = 24 grams.
-
Sewing Machine Needles
- • Preferred: Needle size NM70 / Size 10.
• If unavailable, opt for the finest needle available to preserve the integrity of the weave.
-
Interlining
To support and maintain the luxurious properties of VLISCO Radiance:
- • Preferred: Vlieseline G785, available in white, beige, and black.
• Alternative: A heavier interlining can be cut on the bias for a softer drape.
-
Fusible Tapes
- For reinforcement and shape retention, we suggest:
• Vlieseline Biais Tape T12: Chain stitch bias tape, ideal for curved and bias-cut lines.
• Vlieseline Seamtape Flexible T15: Prevents fraying and distortion of curved edges.
• Vlieseline Edgetape T20: Stabilizes straight edges and seams.
-
Lining
- • Use a light cotton voile or mousseline.
-
Cutting & Preparation
- 1. Cut with care to ensure precision and accuracy.
2. Identify the horizontal thread or grain by gently tearing the fabric.
3. Always finish fabric edges after cutting (e.g., with overlock stitching or fusible tape) to avoid fraying.
-
Ironing
- 1. Use a protective layer between the iron and the fabric to prevent heat damage.
2. When ironing, respect the grain of the fabric to avoid
distortion.
-
Fabric Handling
- 1. For the fitting toile, choose a fabric with a similar drape to VLISCO Radiance rather than standard cotton greycloth.
2. French seams or bias binding are recommended for a clean, elegant finish.
3. When using bias tape, opt for lining, organza or mousseline to preserve the fabric’s soft drape.
