Inspired by the pulsating energy of Dakar’s creative scene and its pioneering talents, Vlisco’s very first exhibition space in the country connected like-minded individuals passionate about the intersection of art and identity.
From May 19 to May 22 of 2024, Dakar's exclusive women's club,
The Third, was reborn as The Vlisco House.
Selly Raby Kane, whose boundary-pushing designs and surrealistic creations mirror the pulse of Dakar's subcultures. A pioneer in the digital realm, Linda Dounia Rebeiz’s work in speculative archiving earned her recognition on the TIMEAI100 list of most influential people in AI. Art Director and Fine Artist Audrey d’Erneville, renowned for her bold exploration of Senegalese pop art. And the established architect known for her cosmopolitan spirit and interdisciplinary approach to architecture, Fatiya Diene Mazza.
